Functional Family Therapy

JCCA’s Functional Family Therapy program is an intensive, short-term preventive program for high risk families where the primary issue is related to youth in the home (from 12-17 years old). This home-based program uses the evidence-based Functional Family Therapy model to support and strengthen families and prevent out-of-home therapeutic placement. Located in Brooklyn and The Bronx.

Functional Family Therapy is a practical, well-documented, and highly successful family intervention for at-risk youth. Its effectiveness is widely recognized by government agencies. The model has been used in a variety of communities with diverse populations. Functional Family Therapy uses five phases of services over three to four months to help at-risk teens and their families.
