There are several ways to volunteer at JCCA.
Two Together (Wall Street and Rego Park)
Bonnie Lichtman, Director
This city-wide program provides free individualized tutoring to school-age children. Trained volunteers assist children, supervised by learning specialists. Workshops for parents, cultural experiences and educational projects reinforce the program. Staff works with parents toward educational goals. Referrals are from schools, parents, synagogues and community agencies. Two Together Rego Park* includes families from the former Soviet Union. Learn More
Volunteering at the Cottage Schools
Phina Geiger, Director of Volunteers
JCCA's Westchester Campus is part of the area's thriving community, and many of its members understand what it means to give a helping hand to a child who needs one. Volunteers act as cottage "parents," friends and mentors, often developing close and lasting relationships with the young people in our care. Learn More

Jewish Child Care Association is a comprehensive child and family services agency. We work with those who need us most, including children who have been neglected or abused, immigrant Jewish families, and those building new lives. Most of our clients come to us because they struggle with poverty or family crises, and because they are working to create an independent future. JCCA helps more than 16,000 children and families every year and is consistently rated at the highest levels for the quality of our programs. In all our work, we are motivated by tikkun olam, the value within Jewish tradition that calls upon all of us to repair the world, and by our belief that every child deserves to grow up hopeful.
