Pleasantville Cottage School (Westchester)
SOCIAL WORKER (LMSW) Responsible for helping emotionally disturbed children meet their social expectations appropriate to their age and developmental level. Visit families in their homes in accordance with case need, agency policy and governmental regulations. Work with multi-disciplinary team in a long term residential treatment setting. Provide concrete services to children and families in accordance to treatment plan. Travel to outside agencies and schools when necessary in consultation with case supervisor. Must have good organizational, interpersonal, and writing skills. Ability to engage families in collaborative treatment planning. Current driver's license required. Bilingual English/Spanish helpful. Minimum 2 years prior experience working in children/family service setting.
Early Childhood ( Queens)
EARLY CHILDHOOD DIRECTOR (MSW or equivalent degree). To provide leadership, vision, management, supervision and administrative direction to staff of Early Childhood Programs in Jewish Community Services division. Family Day Care and Forest Hills Child Care Center. To ensure that the facilities and services meet the physical and developmental needs of clients. Provide quality day care to children and families which includes planning, monitoring, evaluating and coordinating services and resources. Maintain overall responsibility for census in Family Day Care program, and Forest Hills Child Care Center, which involves intake, admission, and discharge procedures and decisions. Provide ongoing monitoring and evaluation of program in terms of short and long term planning. Recommend and formulate programs to meet changing needs within budgetary constraints. Extensive experience in early childhood required. Must exercise independent judgment and function as part of management team.
Bridges to Health ( Bronx) and (Brooklyn)
HEALTH CARE INTEGRATOR (HCI) (LMSW) Work directly with the Severely Emotionally Disturbed (SED) and Developmentally Disabled (DD) child and family/caregiver to determine the need for and the appropriate provision of intensive services to maintain that child in the community. Must have ability to manage and work with a variety of different people. Solid organizational and follow-up skills. Excellent interpersonal, writing and computer skills (specifically Microsoft Word, Excel); Bilingual/Spanish helpful. A minimum of one year of experience providing service coordination and information, linkages, and referrals for community-based services to children with special needs, individuals with disabilities, or seniors.
Bridges to Health Per Diem (Bronx/Brooklyn) We are currently hiring Per -Diem workers for the Bridge to Health (B2H) Waiver Service Provider program. JCCA is looking for experienced and dedicated individuals in the Bronx and in Brooklyn who can provide a variety of services in the home and community for foster care children. Looking for High School Diploma, Bachelor level, RNs & LPNs and Master level candidates with appropriate work experience. Positions and hourly wages are based on educational background and experience. Hours are flexible, including weekends and evenings and it includes paid trainings. Bilingual Spanish is preferred. Must have ability to work with a variety of different people and have excellent writing skills.
