Ametz Adoption Program
orange rule

Kathy Brodsky, LCSW, Director

“Am I ready to be an adoptive parent? How long will it take? Where do I begin? Who do I trust?”

Ametz Logo

“Because Ametz doesn't place children, I really trusted their judgment about adoption agencies.”

JCCA's Ametz Adoption Program is the place to start the life-changing process of becoming an adoptive parent.

Ametz staff and social workers understand the complexities of the system and the emotional journey that prospective parents go through.

We will help you explore all your options, make the right decisions, and get through all the paperwork. And because Ametz is connected to an international network of adoption agencies and attorneys, we can help you evaluate your choices and build your family in the most effective way. Ametz works with people of all faiths and backgrounds, throughout New York and New Jersey.

We remain available to you and your family throughout the years, to provide advice and guidance on adoptive parenting and lifecycle events.

What Makes an Ametz Homestudy Different?

“The homestudy went way beyond what was required. Ametz was always there for reassurance, questions, and follow-up.”

Anyone who wishes to adopt must have a homestudy, but at Ametz Adoption Program we believe a homestudy is more than a legal requirement. It's an opportunity to explore and discuss the route to parenthood that's right for you. Read More

What if I'm also pursuing infertility treatments?

“Ametz helped me evaluate my adoption options while I was still pursuing infertility treatment. No other agency gave me that choice.”

Ametz believes the goal is parenting, so whether biological or through adoption, we are here to help make that dream come true.
