2008: A JCCA Snapshot
Foster Home Services
50 children were reunified with their families
57 children were adopted into new families
Residential Programs
50 youth were reunified with their families
29 youth graduated high school from Campus-based programs (including the largest number of Regents diplomas in many years)
Preventive Services
95% of 320 youth remained with their families and avoided foster care placement
Mental Health Case Management
95% of 325 youth remained with their families and avoided psychiatric hospitalization
Family (Home-Based) Day Care
More than 1,200 children were provided with safe, nurturing care, enabling parents to go to school and work
Compass Project
250 youth (and their families) on the Autism Spectrum and/or those who have learning disabilities and other special needs received counseling, evaluation, and support
Bukharian Teen Lounge
150 Bukharian teens were provided with safe, positive, alternative activities
Partners in Caring
443 Bukharian children and family members received counseling, support, and information about behavioral disorders and learning disabilities
Two Together Tutoring Program
75% of 130 children improved by a minimum of one grade level in Math or English
Ametz Adoption Program
More than 700 adoptive parents were provided with information, counseling, and homestudies
JCCA Scholarship Support
19 youth received scholarship support for post-high school education
