The government shutdown and loss of SNAP benefits starting November 1st has amplified the struggles JCCA’s children and families face every day.
Your donation can help them.

The Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) provides food assistance for nearly 1.8 million low-income residents of New York City including families, older adults, and people with disabilities.

Thanks to your support, we can help ensure food security and dignity for our families. Without reliable access to food, the foundation of families’ stability is fractured–families will need to make impossible choices on whether to buy food or pay rent or for medical care, and caregivers may need to take on additional shifts – which takes them away from their children.

Most families supported by JCCA depend on public assistance and cannot “stock up” on groceries before SNAP funding ends on Nov. 1. JCCA is providing financial assistance to these families at risk of food insecurity, but we need your help.

With your gift, you can help us ensure every child gets the support they need.
