Honorees Daun Paris and Peter Hauspurg with their children, Phil and Alexandra, who presented them with the 2017 JCCA Tikkun Olam Award

Thank you to everyone who joined us at last night’s 2017 JCCA Celebration for Hope Gala! Our signature event raised more than $1.4 million — a record —and we could not be more grateful to everyone who made this successful evening possible.

The celebration began with an introduction from WNBC’s Melissa Russo to recognize Gala honorees Daun Paris & Peter Hauspurg, followed by an inspiring performance of “Somewhere Over the Rainbow” by jazz vocalist Nicole Henry. Rita Soronen, CEO and President of the Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption, accepted a special award, and we heard incredible stories of hope from a few of JCCA’s children. Thanks to your amazing support and generosity, our live auction raised more than $200,000!

Notable guests included the legendary Harry Belafonte, Leonard Feinstein, ACS Commissioner David Hansell and UJA President Eric Goldstein.

Your support is still needed! If you missed the opportunity to give, there’s still time to help the vulnerable children and youth in our care. Please make your donation online today.

In the next few days, we’ll be sharing a selection of photos from the Gala online – you can check them out on our Facebook page. Tag yourself and share with friends! Here are some highlights!
