We are JCCA
We help abused, neglected and traumatized children heal physically and emotionally through compassionate, quality care. Our 37 programs include foster care, residential treatment facilities, mental health services, case management, education programs and special services for children who have been the victims of sexual abuse. We serve New York’s neediest and most vulnerable children and families to insure that their safety, permanency and well-being leads to a life of stability and promise.
OP-ED FROM JCCA CEO RONALD E. RICHTER IN THE CHRONICLE OF SOCIAL CHANGE
How New York City Can Help Foster Youth Build a Brighter Future
JCCA CEO Ronald E. Richter writes, “New York City has been an innovator in child welfare so many times. We have led the nation in the reduction of congregate care for young people who require out-of-home services. We were among the first in the nation to support families in communities by offering community-based services to prevent the need to remove children because of a safety risk. Now is the time for New York City, with Fair Futures, to distinguish itself once more.”
