For 13 years, Jay and Terri Bialsky have been deeply devoted to the children JCCA serves. They and their two daughters, Gabrielle and Dannielle, have been active volunteers on the Pleasantville Campus—helping at the fundraising event “A Tree Grows in Pleasantville,” providing holiday gifts and making holiday parties fun for our youth. The girls graciously donated their bat mitzvah money for programs for the children.

According to Jay, “It is really important for our family to relate to the children JCCA helps. We have been fortunate and we know how important it is to give back. We enjoy helping out and seeing how JCCA transforms lives and enables abused and neglected teens to gain self-worth and even go to college. It is an amazing feeling. Each of us can do something to make children’s lives better. “

Jay has also been an active member of the Board and Co-Chair of the Fund Development Committee. He adds, “As a longtime member of the Board of Trustees, I know how solid and well-managed the organization is. I know firsthand that donations are going to good use.“ A recognized leader in his field, he is president of JBialsky Premier Design and Development and has built and sold some of the most luxurious high-end homes in the Hamptons.

Terri Bialsky, who has a degree in fashion merchandising, co-founded Equinox Fitness Gear. The successful company grew to 11 stores which she sold in 2001 to devote herself to being a full-time mother to their daughters.

In recognition of their devoted service, their deep commitment to our children and for making a real difference, Jay and Terri received JCCA’s Tikkun Olam Award in 2012.
