Ann Marie Scalia

Ann Marie Scalia is CEO of JCCA. She previously served as General Counsel and Chief Legal Officer at New York City’s Department of Social Services, the largest social services agency in the nation, where she led a team of more than 1,000 legal and program staff, and directs programs with $100M+ budget. She has driven systemic change in public policy, legal advocacy, and service delivery—always centering the dignity and well-being of the families and children she serves.

Joining JCCA is, in many ways, a homecoming for Ann Marie. She began her legal career at the Legal Aid Society representing children and youth in family court proceedings and has devoted her entire professional life to supporting and strengthening the lives of children and families. Whether providing direct legal representation, championing reform within the family court, or dismantling the systemic barriers associated with applying for or maintaining social services benefits in her role within NYC government, Ann Marie has always been a relentless advocate for vulnerable communities.
