Our dedicated JCCA staff held their annual Halloween parties, supporting clinical work with fun, safe activities for kids and families. In the Bronx, the annual Halloween party was packed with over a hundred children in costume ready for pizza, trick-or-treating and fun activities. It was the largest Halloween party ever thrown at the Bronx offices! Staff re-created the land of Oz, dressing up as characters from The Wizard of Oz. As trick-or-treaters collected candy from Dorothy, the Lion, Scarecrow, and Tin Man, only the bravest asked the Wicked Witch for candy. After they were done bringing their children around the offices for trick-or-treating, one parent told JCCA staff “they did an amazing job with the costumes and decorating. The party was a lot of fun!”

On the Pleasantville Cottage Campus, a day of trick-or-treating and spooky events started with START residents trick-or-treating around the campus. At the Edenwald offices, staff spent the previous night and Halloween morning transforming the office hallways into the Haunted Hallways, a big effort that’s always a big hit on the campus. Brave visitors were greeted with dark halls, spooky sounds, and scary sights as even some of the bravest residents couldn’t make it through without turning back. The day ended with a Witches Brew themed DJ party with dancing, singing, and games!
