Dear JCCA Colleagues:

Today we commemorate the birth of The Reverend Martin Luther King, Jr. The legacy of Dr. King’s work — for civil rights, peace and economic justice — echoes in what we do at JCCA every day.

We look to Dr. King’s message of patience and love in our work with our clients. We are reminded of his perseverance and see it reflected in our clients’ noble struggle against incredible odds. Our clients share a determined optimism with Dr. King and we are inspired by this shared vision for the future in our quest to repair the world, child by child.

In 2017, it is more important than ever to honor Dr. King’s memory. Just as we partner with our children and families to create new and hopeful trajectories for our clients every day, we must do the same for ourselves. As King wrote in his 1967 address to the SCLC: “Difficult and painful as it is, we must walk on in the days ahead with an audacious faith in the future.

Thank you for your audacious faith in our future.
