JCCA’s Residential Treatment Programs — Pleasantville Cottage School, Edenwald Center, the Short Term Assessment and Rapid Treatment Program, and Gateways — are located on our Pleasantville Cottage Campus. We work with hundreds of children and young people, many of whom struggle with poverty, developmental disabilities, complex mental illness, sexual abuse and/or commercial sexual exploitation. With the support of a caring and professional staff, children attend school on Campus, receive counseling and participate in therapeutic arts, recreation and job internships. Many of these activities are not paid for in our government contracts—and yet they are the things that have the greatest impact on children’s happiness, helping them feel that they are “just like any other kids.” None of this would be possible without the ongoing generosity of caring people like you.
