Put your thinking caps on and get ready for a hands-on science adventure! In this energetic 45-minute workshop, families will mix, measure, fizz, bubble, and discover how everyday supermarket ingredients can turn into exciting chemistry experiments. In collaboration with enthusiastic educators, our young scientists will explore and experiment as they uncover big scientific ideas through colorful, kid-friendly fun. Curiosity and wonder are encouraged so get ready for plenty of discoveries, surprises, and excitement.

There’s always room at our table! Join us for an evening of exploration and connection. Families are invited to gather for a warm, welcoming, and delicious community dinner at the Bronx Children’s Museum. Families will be able to enjoy a delicious meal together while children explore, play, and adventure throughout the museum’s interactive exhibits. We hope to create an experience that fosters a sense of community in a safe, fun environment.

Bronx - Exploration without Barriers

Come be a Wildlife Explorer with JCCA at the Bronx Zoo!

All ages are welcome! And make sure to wear a costume!

Have you ever wanted to feed a giraffe, or waddle alongside a penguin, or try to outrun a cheetah?! If you love animals and the environment, this experience is for you! Families will have the opportunity to interact with animals from the wild, as well as participate in an educational program for grades pre-K to 12th that range in topic and interest level.

  • Learn about animal behavior or endangered species.
  • Learn how the zoo cares for animals like Dr. Zoolittle.

After these unique wildlife experiences, and a wonderful lunch at the zoo’s pavilion, you and your family and friends will be able to explore the rest of the Boo at the Zoo festivities on your own before we head back home.
